Michael Schenker (natural January 10, 1955) is a hard rock and heavy metal guitarist of UFO and a founding member of the Scorpions. He signed by having Chrysalis Records in autumn 1979 after leaving UFO. He is the immature brother of Rudolf Schenker of Scorpions fame.

Michael was innate within Sarstedt, Germany. He began swimming inside his early teens once his brother Rudolph brought page the Flying V guitar, which captured Michaels' imagination. His swimming style is unusual in this he seems does'nt to apply conventionally good guitar scales however seems instead to improvise.

Schenker joined UFO under unusual circumstances. A band left a UK to play a select few dates around Germany. Their guitar player at a instance; Bernie Marsden, forgot his passport and was unable to produce a number one gig. At a venue UFO spotted Michael swimming a soundcheck using the Scorpions & managed to persuade him into swimming that evening's indicate. Despite a language barrier; he spoke there are there is no English & it spoke no German, something clearly "clicked" & Schenker brought a ellusive Ten factor to the b& and took the two to a second level musically.

Schenker has experienced a turbulent career sustaining UFO, typically walking out mid song & stimulating the tour to become cancelled. He is patently when temperamental when he is gifted. Schenker says his swimming by owning UFO is prefer chocolate: todays awhile however when professional people've experienced sufficiency....

Inspirational & clearly a musical prodigy, Schenker is one of the Seventies virtually all inspirational guitar player, influencing late musicians like Kirk Hammett from the band Metallica.

Inside 1979, he founded the Michael Schenker Group (M.S.G).
